On Saturday 12th of November, on the occasion of science week, the Tibidabo Amusement Park will become a giant laboratory with a new edition of the Fisidabo LabShow! Together with the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, you can delve into the world of physics and science, and into the secrets of music and our brain, with two very interesting and fun shows.
The secrets of music
The music is playing. Our foot starts to move: 1, 2, 1, 2... And we start counting without realizing it... And we like it. And if they let us, we'll even end up moving our whole body! And it is that, as Leibnitz said, music is the pleasure of counting without being conscious. We'll tell you a story: how music was created. A story that began many years ago, in ancient Greece... And we will do all this with Luis Carlos Pardo, from the UPC, accompanied by the band Moby Dixie.
At 12.30 pm and 2.30 pm in Plaça del Jardí (level 6).
The three neurons
The nervous system is a network of specialized cells that transmit information about an animal's environment and about itself. Some of these cells are called neurons and are distributed throughout the body. We have neurons of different types and shapes, which communicate using chemical or electrical signals. Thanks to Open Brains, we will understand how the nervous system works in a playful way, learn more about these cells that make us human, and learn what language neurons use to talk to each other.
At 1.30 pm and 3.30 pm in Plaça del Jardí (level 6).
