New way to access to Tibidabo
Since its inauguration in June 2021, the Cuca de Llum has become the new way to access Tibidabo. From Plaça Doctor Andreu, and in just 4 minutes, the new funicular allows you to go up in the most sustainable and fastest way and enjoy spectacular views during the journey. The new access gate to the Tibidabo Amusement Park and Panoramic Area brings the magical mountain closer to the city of Barcelona with convenient and quick access.
The creation of a firefly
The new funicular has an advanced and innovative design, inspired by a firefly, which frees up space inside and increases its capacity to 252 passengers per trip. The new vehicle is faster and offers a magical experience during access to the summit through the Serra de Collserola. Through its large windows, visitors can enjoy the landscape and discover the natural environment and the animal and plant species that inhabit it.
The interior of the Cuca de Llum is liberalized, enabling a greater surface available and becoming a diaphanous space that offers greater visual permeability inside. The interior lighting has also been improved, and more emphasis is given to the exterior lighting, which follows a more modern and futuristic line, and which enhances its effect when it gets dark.
Tibidabo has been characterized by being an innovative and pioneering space since its inception, becoming the first theme park in Spain to have a funicular (1901). Today, Tibidabo continues to be a pioneer with the incorporation and adaptation of this means of collective transport.
Included in the ticket
The question "And how do you go up there?" has already gone down in history! 😉 With the Cuca de Llum, you can go to the highest point in the city of Barcelona in an agile and fast way. It has never been so easy to access Tibidabo and thus enjoy its attractions, restaurants, shows and views. The Cuca de Llum is included in all types of admission to the Amusement Park and the Panoramic Area. In the event that you just want to come and enjoy the space, you can buy your up and down ticket.
