La Cuca de Llum, the Tibidabo funicular, has been awarded as the best sustainable transport project at the eleventh edition of the prestigious Architizer A+ Awards.
The online architecture platform Architizer, organizer of this important recognition, has made public the verdict of the professional jury and the result of the popular voting process that have determined which are the most significant international projects in the field of architecture, design and innovation.
La Cuca de Llum, created by the architect Josep Miàs, has been the winner in the category 'Sustainable transport project', which premieres for the first time at the competition to recognize, among other aspects, means of transport that incorporate sustainable systems and materials and follow best practices related to ethical design, construction and operations.
The innovative design of the Tibidabo funicular has been victorious over the 'One Green Mile' urban planning project in Mumbai, designed by the Studio POD agency, and the 'Vendôme multimodal hub' interchange made by the Bisson Fortin and Provencher studio for the metro in Montreal, Canada.
Thank you to everyone who helped us win this award, thank you and congratulations to MIAS Architects and LEITNER and thank you Architizer for the recognition. 👏
